Hm….I like the song well enough (another great CD by the way Natalie), but I’m not quite sure what to make of the interpretive dancer with the mask in this video. What’s the idea here??

Bravo!!! Bravo!!! I cherish every word, Nat! Excellent! Are you feeling better now? Is your challenge evening out for you? I’m still praying for you and the babies.

I have to tell y’all a sorta funny story. My husband and I bought a Chevy Tahoe just recently. It was by far the most beautifully appointed vehicle but it also has a beautifully inflated car payment. After months of struggling with having to choose whether to buy groceries and meds or to pay the car note, we decided to let the car go back. I was standing in the kitchen and all of a sudden I remembered that I had my Relentless CD still in the player. I was panicking. I asked my Sweetie Pie to go out in the middle of the night and get it out of the player so the car people wouldn’t get it when they come for the truck. They can take the truck, but they ain’t gonna get my Natalie Grant CD!!!

We have one more option that might save us from having to give the trucdk back, but I don’t know if we have enough time or if it will even work. It’s getting a hardship distribution from his 401K account. Having unpaid hospital bills from my back surgery (the surgery that left me with only partial feeling in my left leg and foot) and almost getting our most dependable vehicle re-poed counts as urgent life changing events. If I don’t have a car, I won’t be able to get the kids to and from school. They are going to be in 3 different schools scattered all over N. Little Rock and buses aren’t provided for them and nobody in the neighborhood has kids going to the school where Elisabeth goes. The bottom line is that I have to have a car to function. I can’t go to the store.

So, more than anything, I ask that you all surround our family with your prayers. PLEASE UNDERSTAND…I am not asking for money, we just need your prayers that this distribution will happen or that God will choose another was for us to dig our way out of this mess.

Hey, Natalie…Do you need someone to do your PowerPoint slides for you? I love doing PowerPoint. Just dreaming here~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank you all so much for listening.

    Love,
    Debbie

  14. Natalie - wow. Long time listener first time caller lol - I’ve been a MASSIVE fan of yours for God knows how long now, yet this is the first video I’ve seen! It’s hard to find Christian video clips here in Australia so I guess I’m back to Youtube to watch your other videos! I’m all excited now haha.
Thanks for an incredible new single and video! I really hope it makes it to number 1 on Christian radio here :) I’m still obsessed with ‘In Better Hands’ which I hear on the radio quite often!
As soon as I get paid I’m searching for your latest album :P

    Dear Natalie,
I love you new song! My family and I have been going through some tough times recently and that sang lifts us up every time we hear it.
I know this reply is for comments on “I WIll Not Be Moved”, but I figured since I finally found out how to reach you, I would tell you how much “Held” has meant to my family. I have been raised in a christian home all my life and have always believed that God is faithful, and, until about 10 months ago, my dad had been a minister since before I was born. We’ve been through stuff, but our faith has never wavered. Then, in August of 2006, everything seemed to fall apart at once. My grandfather, my dad’s dad, passed away, and two weeks later, my dad was forced to resign from the church he had been pastoring for the past 4 years. My mom and sisters and I got through it together, but my dad withdrew and stopped letting anyone in. Then in October 2007, he walked out on me and my family and filed for divorce. (We later found out that he left to be with another woman and had been cheating on my mother for years.) He had our utilities cut off to get money for TV, broke back into our house and took things that belonged to me and my sisters, left my mother with all the bills, and refused to support us in any way. It was horrible! Even now, my sisters and I have only seen him twice and talked to him only a handful of times since he left. I have had Diabetes for 12 years (I was diagnosed at 8 years old) and the stress of the past few months has caused my health to become more of a rollercoaster ride than a controlled disease with the occasional bad day.
I have owned the soundtrack to “Held” for a couple of years and have sung it often in my church. I have always loved it, but lately, the words have become so real to me. I have lost so much…my family (as I knew it then), my father and my relationship with him, my relationship with his side of the family (they abandoned us when he walked out), and, at times, my health. Those were all the that I cherished, and it was hard to lose them. I know know what is feels like to lose things you consider sacred, but through it all, God has never left my side. At times, he has seemed closer now than ever. I know what it is like to be held by God Himself. My mother and sisters and myself now use “Held” as a themesong and it hels us through every single day, good or bad.
We are coming to your concert in El Dorado, Arkansas on August 24, and are really looking forward to it. Thank you for letting God work through you to minister to others. Keep up the good work!

I just bought your new cd, as a birthday present for myself. I will not be moved, is so uplifting, inspiring, and empowering… I put it in the th cd player and just turned up the volume as hi as i could stand it.. I am a single mother of two and it gets tough sometimes, but this song is now my theme song.. grat big smiles and all kinds of thank yous for putting out this healing music you do….
gotta go my baby girls up from her nap

  25. Grace

First, a reply to Erin….thanks for sharing your story. My heart goes out to you and the pain of losing a “foundation stone” in your life - it’s so good to hear that you are standing on the “corner stone”, tho, who will “never leave you or forsake you…..Jesus Christ”. I’m praying for you and your family. As a mother, my heart goes out to yours….what a heavy burden to bear! Keep looking in God’s Word to give her words of support - it is God’s love through His Word, and your love that’ll get her through this.
Second, Natalie…my sister gave me your CD saying it has such a positive, uplifting theme throughout it….she’s SO right! In a world with so much disappointment & pain, your music brings God’s light and love to so many who need it despirately! AND, how do you do all that with TWO babies!! (I saw them on your blog…they are prescious!!) You are an inspiration! Don’t stop looking to Him, who is able to “keep you from falling”, the “Author and Finisher of our Faith.”

  26. Hollen

That is a really cool video! And…as usual…you looked and sounded beautiful! :) Also, we went to Cracker Barrel yesterday and I saw a TOTAL Natalie Grant look-alike. :) LOLLOL I had to look twice! She was a waitress and her apron said “Mandy”. Oh well. haha God bless!

  28. Natalie,
Well I can add this to my never haves….I have never blogged before. I was trying to see your video of “I Will Not Be Moved” which I’m not sure is going to work because of good ole dial up so I decided to read your responses. I am encouraged by how God can use even a simple song to uplift so many. I am emailing part of your lyrics to a friend that just recently lost his wonderful wife (my best friend) to ovarian cancer on Valentine’s Day. I love your song….it picks me up EVERYTIME I hear it. It has helped me sooo much lately with all the stuff going on in our lives. My husband and I both have small businesses that have been hit hard by the poor economy here, our only daughter recently got married (which is a happy occasion I know, but sometimes hard at the same time), I had to have a complete hysterectomy early this year and have been thrown into early menopause. Then when I thought I couldn’t handle anymore….my dear friend went to be with her Savior, and now our 18 yr old son moved out after graduating and is rebelling against God and all we have ever taught him. I know my problems pale in comparison with so many, but the loving God I serve knows each of our trials and each one is important to Him. It’s so amazing how he can bring us encouragement to PRESS ON in many different ways…(like with your song) I love the part where it says….The hand I hold WON’T LET GO. That’s so true….HE won’t. It’s up to us to not let go. No matter what “storm” is raging around us, we too can “NOT BE MOVED” like your song says.
I pray for many blessings for you and your ministry.

  29. Deana

WOW I love that song!! It’s my 2nd favorite song! he he anyway, I couldn’t really watch the video because I have dialup but I will when we get highspeed!!! Your my favorite female singer!!!! Go Natalie Go!!! God’s made you a blessing to me :)
