What a night we had last night.
Very surreal, honestly. I got to perform with Wynona which was a life highlight for me. she is so talented and even more gracious. My band rocked, the singers were insanely awesome, and if I do say so myself, my shoes were “hot”! of all the Dove Awards I have attended, this was by far the best show. Great staging, production and diverse talent.
I am definitely not too cool to admit that I am a fan of christian music - always have been. it is an honor to be a part of the community of Christian artists. the pre-show included a performance by Phil Wickham. WOW. If you don’t know his music, check it out. It was one of my favorite performances of the night. What a shame that it wasn’t televised.
I was so proud of my sweet Bernie. He conducted the strings on the Casting Crowns performance of “East to West”. He then went on to win song of the year for that same song, as he wrote it with Mark Hall. Winning female artist of the year was special for me but I also felt several others in the category deserved it.
The awards are sweet and I love that we take time to honor one another, but they do not define us. And in the end, they don’t matter. whatever “enlarged territory” they may bring me, I pray my art, and more importantly, my life, will represent the Christ i claim to serve.
Right after the show we went back to work. my bus rolled at midnight and carried us to Pennsylvania. Now we’re on to Ohio. I will post some pics when i get home. I forgot my photo card reader, so i can’t get the photos off my camera. I am, after all, technically challenged.

I was blessed to watch the pre-show (on God Tube) from my little home here in Missouri. I couldn’t agree with you more regarding Phil Wickham (and his brother Evan’s) performance. Man, did the Spirit move?! Incredible - such anointing coupled with a deep reverence and humbleness. Sure would LOVE to see the Lord pair you two together for a song sometime.

Hello Natalie! Congratulations to both you and Bernie. I love your music. I did not get to see the Dove Awards when they were on live but I am currently watching it as I type this. (It also will air again Saturday 4/26/08 at 3pm-5pm and again Sunday 4/27/08 at 7pm-9pm both time on GMC for anyone who would like to watch it again or missed it previously.)
I have not been able to purchase your new CD yet but your Awaken CD goes with me just about everywhere I go. I absolutely love your music. You are also on my friend list on Myspace.

I was soo excited! my Neighbors recorded it for me! that song you sang with wynona is my favorite song.. i wont get into explaining to you why…. i love being able to see what you are up to.. and how your life is going…this blog thing is really cool… i love how you are so open with all of your friends… you have not idea how much you how touched my heart…. you have no idea…i just thought of something…so ok well i am in dance..and i could never find anything to get me pumped up.. so i thought of this i thought well why dont i think of natalie grant being in the stands watching! so at our last dance competition i didnt that and it was the best i have ever danced… and we got first….. when i have something i am nerves like a solo or a speech i think of you being there.. and it makes me really calm! i thought i would tell you that becuase your so open with everyone i thought i would be open to…… thank you soo much…=]

Congrat’s natalie you know the funniest question was asked to me today. I was asked if you could be another erson in the whole world who would you be, and I’ve never thought about that and then i remember listening to ” will not be moved An being on the worship team and also being the only girl it is difficult when you can’t reach notes that sometimes I think they just expect you to be able to sing. So my simple reply was Natalie Grant’s voice,nd they all were amazed that I would want a voice rather than my best friends look or something like that. Well anyhu nuff bout me. Congrat’s on Dove awards to you and your hubby.

hey natalie I love your song’s. how is your family? I guss my family is doing great well it is better then it was last year. my siter was in the hospital at Saint Louis Children’s hospital she is doing better but she has to get test and everything check so she is not on chemo anymore she doe’s have cancer’s it has to due with here arteries in may she got very sick and they did some test and they found out that one of the arteries that comes out of here heart had inflammation in it .she was upset cuz she coulden’t come to revolvetour in saint louis mo to see you . well if we come this year she wishies that she could meet you and get a pics with you well I better go to bed I hope that you and your family get a goodnight sleep I will keep you in my prayer’s you friend jennifer
Nat, I am sooo happy for you and Bernie! And I love how humble you are about it. I would think it would be so easy to get caught up in how successful you are, but you’re so grounded and modest about all of it. I love that about you! I so wish I could have been there to see you win this year. I went last year and I recorded your acceptance speech on my camera.
Anyway, it sounds like you’re feeling better and that your performance went well! I’ll be praying for rest and safe travels for you and the band. Talk to you soon!

Congratulations Natalie! I saw you perform at the Women of Faith Conference in Columbus this past weekend. I must admit that, even though I have been a Christian for quite a few years, I have never really been into Christian music all that much. That is, until I saw you, Sandi Patty and Nicole C. Mullen this weekend! I just bought your CD and I love it! I am graduating from college in May and your songs remind me that I need to seek God’s will for my life as I make decisions about where to go to grad school/jobs. Thank you so much for your music and for your time spent at the Women of Faith Conferences!

I just absolutely love your song in “Better Hands”! When it came on the radio this morning, I practically jumped on top of the radio, with my ear’s as close to the speaker’s as I could get. Your voice sends my hands into the air, it’s such an amazing song and your voice is so Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your voice with all of us. I just love it! I’m glad I found your website. I’ve been a Winona’s fan for years. So to see the two of you together was really cool. She’s just so great, too!
